Country life on a mountain farm is particularly exciting for the little ones, as there's plenty to see & do. Our guest children are welcome to visit and get to know the animals in the stables. The surrounding fields and forest are one big adventure playground. All guests are warmly welcome to take part in our guided tour around the farm and house, to learn more about life on the farm and to get an insight into ancient traditions and ways of working on the farm. The region around the Maurachgut Organic Farm is ideal for your family holiday in Salzburger Land with its colourful array of sights and attractions. Take advantage of the Gastein Card and the SalzburgerLand Card, which offer free admission and a number of discounts.
Animals to love
Dear children, our animals and their babies look forward to meeting you: the cows, calves, sheep, lambs, goats, horses, cats, our rabbit and the mini pony are all very curious. Here on our farm you'll come into direct contact with our animals and you can stroke and feed them. Experience everyday life on the farm and help us with our work - there's plenty to see and do. You can romp to your heart's content outdoors around the farm, in the playground and in the small stream on our land.
A paradise in summer & winter
Surrounded by lots of mountains and the sky like a tent, beneath which so much is possible... Undertake gentle alpine pasture walks with your family or just go for a picnic. There's plenty of space around the farm for romping around and playing outdoors. On request we can light a camp-fire for grilling sausages or provide you with a picnic basket. You certainly won't get bored in the playground with sandpit, slide, swing, bobby cars, scooters and pedal tractors. If the weather's not fine enough to play outdoors, we have games and books you can borrow. In winter the snowy landscape entices you to go skiing, tobogganing or sledging. It's also great fun to organise a snowball fight or to build a snowman.
